At last, she sits upon her bed
An herbal cup of tea she's poured

Ocean blue sheets, against tan skin
A sunset in her crystal cup

Wrinkled fingers curl the glass
And rosy lips take in a sip

  1. The 'at last' in the very beginning sets the stage for the entire poem. I picture an aged woman, tired from the days work and being on her feet all day. 'At last'at the end of the day she has a moment to sit with her cup of tea (herbal to not interrupt her sleep) and rests. Tan skin, probably because shes been out on the fields all day.

if you just take the 'at last' out i would get a totally different meaning :) good stuffff
